16x20 original. This pelican and his bouquet embodies a prayer of protector over children starting school! Lilacs are something that represents life, love, but they also are symbols of purity and innocence. That’s my prayer for the children, to have their life, love, and innocence protected. Palm trees are symbolic of victory, peace, and eternal life. That is another prayer in this painting. For peace to be found in knowing that through Jesus there is victory over death and we have eternal life through the gift of grace. So I prayed for protection over our children’s souls and hearts, that one day they belong to God by their own decision to accept Him. Magnolias represent purity and new beginnings. My child starts his life as a preschooler tomorrow and will be a student for the next 14 years of his life (at least). I pray for each child as they start the new school year and life stages.
